As an independent contractor for Verbatim, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to work from a home office you create. You may already have an existing home office or a place in mind to create one. You will need:

— A comfortable, quiet place to work

Where to put your home office and how to furnish it are entirely up to you. Verbatim expects its professional contractors to free themselves of distractions and background noise, such as television or barking dogs, which can interfere with call quality.

— Desktop or laptop computer

Most PCs and Macs purchased within the past several years will work with Verbatim’s cloud-based systems. Be sure to check the Technical Specifications below to confirm that your computer meets our minimum requirements. Tablets and mobile devices will not function properly.

— Software

Verbatim offers contractors the use of our web-based systems to construct their schedules, make calls, and complete their work. To connect to the Virtual Contact Center (VCC) you will follow instructions to install a browser extension to your existing browser, it is simple and safe. We use Five9 as our call platform.

— High-speed internet connection

Verbatim contractors must use a wired broadband internet connection, such as a cable modem, DSL service, or fiber optic connection meeting our minimum upload and download speeds.

*If you are not sure about the type or speed of your service, check with your internet service provider. You may test your connection speed during peak internet usage from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm local time via your internet service provider’s website.

Under-powered workstations can make it difficult for agents to access the tools and resources they need to service contacts. Also, keep in mind the resource requirements when scoping workstations to ensure that they can perform under load while appropriately multitasking for the use case.

Following are the minimum system requirements for the workstations using the CCP only. You'll need to scope additional memory, bandwidth, and CPU for the operating system and anything else running on the workstation to avoid resource contention.

Browser— Most recent stable versions of Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Safari is not supported.

Memory— 4.0 GB RAM

Network— minimum 128 Kbps bandwidth

Processor - Dual-Core CPU. 2M Cache, 1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB.

Headsets are requirements for Grassroots Outreach Organizers -

USB headsets with noise canceling features are recommended for the best agent and customer experience. Analog and wireless headsets are not supported.
